From Aase Marit, Norway: "It is really surreal to see all the utter devastation in Thailand and other places in Asia right now. My family was one of the lucky ones, my nephew and his girlfriend were in Phuket, on the beach, as the tidal wave hit. Luckily they started running and managed to get to safety, totally unharmed. We now know that more than one hundred thousand individuals weren't that lucky, and my thoughts right now go to all those that lost their loved ones thinking that we are so blessed, it could have been us that maybe didn't even know what happened to ours... This New Years Eve will be a silent one in memory of all those that lost their lives. Rest in Peace... I hope that the whole world now can reach out to the countries that were hit so hard, and that we all help them re-build and show them that we all care across the borders. We never know, one day it may be us that need help..." Aase Marit Norway
